iDreaMOCA: Urban Convergence. Urban Retreat
Collaboration with Rose Hung
The collective project of Di-MOCA and Di-VA has three urban agendas:
1) “fixing” by an urban “resort” that restores relationships and adds balance to the lives of the public in different forms of needed program,
2) “mixing,” through the creation of dynamic public spaces that trigger interpersonal interactions, and
3) “extending” the life and use of downtown Los Angeles.
The urban resort is envisioned as a complete healing center for Los Angeles, performing not only as a spa for the treatment of stress through relaxation spaces, but as a communication center for parents and children to keep in contact, and as a community center for students to engage in positive activity after school, etc.
